Supreme Maximum Leader is God’s Man!

So according to CNN the reason the Supreme Maximum Leader gassed a bunch of peaceful protesters, wheezed his way out of the Dark House, and wandered over to St. John’s in a rare moment of physical exertion to stand there and look awkward with a Bible was because he was embarrassed and ashamed about the news of him hiding in a bunker. In other words, it was the equivalent of Putin shooting a tranquilized animal or Kim Jong Un on horseback.

Anderson Cooper was gobsmacked:

So say we all.

  1. This is just making me sick. Thanks for posting. Let’s spread it around, share, retweet, whatever.

    And vote.

  2. Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde was interviewed yesterday after the junta’s photo op. She expressed outrage that the church and the Bible were used as mere props and made it clear that trump and the gop stand against everything Christ teaches.

    1. Linda, I’m starting to like the Episcopal’s. This women was strong and told Trump he is not welcome. Plus they progressive, pro-choice, etc

  3. It’s great Episcopal bishop Right Rev. Mariann Budde stepped up to speak truth to power. Arch. Gregory and the USCCB issued strong statements on racism, but not a peep so far on Trump’s stunt (that I can find). What gives, ontological betters? What does it benefit a caste to gain the whole judiciary…

    1. From the WaPo…

President Donald Trump visited a D.C. shrine honoring Pope John Paul II on Tuesday, a day after his appearance in front of an Episcopal church across from the White House set off a controversy because it involved aggressively clearing peaceful protesters.

In a statement Tuesday morning as the president was arriving, Washington Archbishop Wilton Gregory slammed the visit and the tactics Trumped had used for the photo opportunity at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

“I find it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be so egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles, which call us to defend the rights of all people even those with whom we might disagree,” Gregory said.

      1. Well! That story ran about an hour after I posted, but after Gregory’s excellent remarks I will just sit down. For five minutes, anyway.

        >>“Saint Pope John Paul II was an ardent defender of the rights and dignity of human beings. His legacy bears vivid witness to that truth,” Gregory said. “He certainly would not condone the use of tear gas and other deterrents to silence, scatter or intimidate them for a photo opportunity in front of a place of worship and peace.”<<

        How about that!

  4. I saw this live on tv and was astonished at the complete emptiness of the gesture. It is more concerning that Trump’s followers would consider this as proof that he is either strong or a man of God. I don’t know the effect because I don’t visit any of those sites any more.
