Most of our public holidays, we observe, certainly … but ANZAC Day – 25 April – is … different. All businesses closed until noon. You can hear the pipe and drum bands if you go outside at 6 in the morning. God help us! Pope St Paul VI, pray for us, for our world that never seems to learn.
