MAGA racism in chemical purity

A while back, on the Book of Face, I ran into this photo with the attached astute caption:

I commented that the reason the US has the largest prison system in the history of planet Earth–bigger than the Gulag Archipelago, bigger than the PRC’s–is that American capitalism could not bear to really give up all the free labor it derived from slavery. MAGA antichrist religion loves this system. Loves it.

Jesus, meanwhile, began his ministry this way:

Sure as shooting, an obvious sock puppet showed up in my comboxes from an account with a generic name (“John Cooper”), no posts at all and a single photo to offer fake “expertise”, to make excuses for the Cult and to pretend to ask questions, not for the purpose of finding anything out, but in order to keep from finding anything out:

If the American prison system was all about money, then private prisons would be much more common than they are. Also, the Second Circuit, where Albany County is (if t’s NY), has ruled that inmates have to paid to work and that no one can be forced to work (which would violate the constitutional prohibition against slavery). As someone who used to have some involvement in a state prison system, I can tell you that inmates generally wanted jobs even though they pay was modest.

If you are asking the reason why we have such a colossal prison population, it is not (just as it is not with our gun slaughter rate) because Americans are peculiarly mentally ill or criminal in ways the rest of the world are not, but because our legal regime is deliberately engineered to create this outcome (as is explained THE NEW JIM CROW: MASS INCARCERATION IN THE AGE OF COLORBLINDNESS) for reasons deeply rooted in our racist and economic history that the entire MAGA cult and GOP (and its white Christian nationalist antichrist religion base) lives to deny.

Well, my MAGA reader had no intention of actually getting an answer, because he already had his own intensely racist answer:

America is a high crime nation. It’s in large part because we have a a black population which is genetically predisposed to crime. What explanation is there for the fact that one group of the population commits crime at ten times the rate of the rest? As the left-wing geneticist David Reich put it, when the genes that influence intelligence and behavior are found, they will inevitably vary from race to race because the genes for everything else do.

Right. The problem is genetic inferiority, No wonder the Master Race needs to jail them when they are mere children over the stupidest trivialities. Clearly the problem is with these born criminal and not with centuries-old legal, economic, and political structures of sin.

Gentle reader: I provided you with the explanation in the form of the book THE NEW JIM CROW. Instead of using the information you were only pretending to ask for, you showed your rhetorical cards by sticking to your lying, racist guns and parroting eugenicist lies and propaganda like the MAGA cult always does when confronted with facts you don’t like.  Goodbye, bigot.
