One of the peak MAGA Freak Show moments I ever saw was the MLK day a bunch of white Gun Cultists showed up in Olympia to chant their worship of guns. When somebody pointed out that this was… infelicitous… on the day America honors an advocate of peace who was shot to death (and by exactly the kind white supremacists who adore the Tyrant and whom the Tyrant adores, the cultists replied that they were sure MLK would be a huge promoter of the second amendment because rights, blah blah blah.
They lie. They do nothing but lie and MLK had their number. That’s why they shot him.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, saying, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ Thus you witness against yourselves, that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.” (Mt 23:29–31)

National Catholic Register, a Trump sycophant website, will publish nothing even slightly critical of Trump, but plenty critical of Pope Francis. They are a worthless right wing echo chamber, neither Catholic nor journalistic.
