And a key part of the lie is the “white genocide” lie.
The Conversation discusses that lie:
“White victimhood refers to a powerful set of beliefs that treats white people as special and different, but also as uniquely at risk. Within this narrative white people see themselves, and are sometimes seen by others, as extraordinary victims, whose exposure to violence or vulnerability is more concerning and important than anyone else’s.
White victimhood is usually speculative. It relates not to actual events that have happened, but to white people’s feelings of being threatened or unsafe. Entire political agendas develop around the idea that white people must be protected because they face exceptional threats, which are not being taken seriously by a contemporary world order that fails to value whiteness.”
“More recently, the victimhood narrative has been a central part of the panic around farm murders and claims of “white genocide”, an old idea that has been popularised and spread online.
Rural violence is a huge problem in South Africa that deserves a strong response. But white people are far from its only casualties. Indeed, violent crime affects pretty much everyone in South Africa. When the deaths of white people are explained as part of a targeted genocide undertaken on the basis of race, the message is that they matter more than the deaths of everyone else.”
“The architecture of white supremacy depends on the idea that white people are extraordinary victims. This is the driving notion beneath the great replacement theory, a far-right conspiracy theory claiming that Jews and non-white foreigners are plotting to “replace” whites. It also underpins violent reactions to the global migration crisis and the rise of populism in the north.”
This is by no means particular to South Africa; we see it wherever whiteness is predominant. Indeed, ideas about white victimhood play a significant role in the popularity of Trump, whose call to “make America great again” harks back to an idealised past where white people (particularly men) could easily dominate the nation, the workplace and the home.
The South African case is important because it plays a central role in global white supremacist claims. These mythologies claim that white South Africans, specifically Afrikaners, are the canary in the coalmine: that the alleged oppression they are facing is a blueprint for what will happen to all white people if they don’t “fight back”.
Remember: the MAGA cult is filled with self-pitying sociopaths who feel empathy only for themselves and extensions of their egos. All other suffering is non-existent, contemptible, funny, and/or guilt manipulation. Self-pitying Afrikaners remind them of themselves and so are seen as extensions of their egos. Hence the bullshit “refugee” status from a “genocide” that prompted a handful of “refugees” to come here, even as Trump and his evil cult applauded the betrayal and deportation back to almost certain death of Afghani refugees who risked their lives to help our troops. For the Cult it’s all about cosplay martyrdom.
“White genocide” is just a variation on the BS “Great Replacement” fear that is 100% racist in its origins and was the common thread uniting the traitors and criminals who committed J6.

Oh yes, the “great replacement” theory. This is where clever Jews want to bring in more Hispanic immigrants to replace White people. Some people actually believe this nonsense. Incredible.
I had a colleague in my previous work that believed that white genocide theory about South Africa.
I researched and found the same things—misreporting and cherry picking.
But the cherry on the cake was that the farms owned by whites were taken from them and turned over to new owners (black) who then proceeded to plunder it for crops and drive it to ruin.
News flash: This was done by local warlords, this happened to both white and black farmers, and new farmers were never meant to farm sustainably, they only wanted to loot.
Showing it harmed everyone equally and the local warlords just happened to be black but were not racially motivated since they wouldn’t spare black farmers who tried to put up a fight didn’t shut them up. They were still adamant it’s proof of white supremacy or at least black inferiority where some blacks just might be trainable.
If one takes excessive exploitation, looting and plundering as hallmarks of barbarity, this applies to all invaders: European colonists, Arabic slave drivers, Sub-Saharan warlords and so on. We’re all barbaric to an extent that circumstances allow. It’s a sign of humanity, not of race.
It always has seemed to me that what is going on is “we [whites] used to be in charge – we don’t intend to lose our in-charge position. The current social norm is to help the underprivileged. OK – well, we have lost our privileges, so…”
Meanwhile…complicit Christianity
The white nationalists complain that white people are ashamed of their own identity.
I never really was….until they took over the brand.
To paraphrase Tevye from “Fiddler on the Roof,” being white is nothing to be ashamed of, but no great honor either (like being poor). I am white because that’s how I was born. Nothing to be ashamed of, but it’s not like winning a Nobel prize.
Also, the racist nonsense of the Nazis, Klan, etc. makes in your face “white pride” a little toxic.
Those who take special pride in being white usually have no real accomplishments to be proud of.
And they are always the most underwhelming specimens of the “race” they champion.
“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
– Lyndon B. Johnson
This quote needs to be repeated ad nauseam.
We have a saying in Polish: “If you have no idea what it’s about, it’s about money.” The literal translation is bad, it means that if you see people quarreling and it’s not clear what the quarrel is about, it’s about money. Or if somebody is trying to get you to understand something, explaining things and talking your ears off, if you don’t understand what he’s about, he wants to take your money.
When I was a freshman in college in the 80’s, (1984?) we met up with a group of Afrikaner guys at a nightclub. I’m sure alcohol had something to do with the loosening of their tongues, but they were bragging about the fact that they lived like kings in South Africa, and had someone to wait upon their every need. They emphatically stated that no place in the world could compare to their standard of living. I don’t remember the specifics of their racism, but it was certainly a bragging point. We were intrigued by their stories, but it came across as something no Californian would ever openly admit to, even if they loved it privately.
And that’s the thing about Trump, he’s made it okay to be an *open* racist for all of the *private* racists who kept it on the down low.
