So I wrote a post last week, just to put a toehold on the blog. Now I’m writing my first second post to make this very important announcement on the first day of blogging at Stumbling Toward Heaven:
It’s my new blog! And this is my first post after my other first post, which was mostly just an announcement that I would be posting here starting today, which is technically not true since I actually posted last week.
Anyway, I’m here now. And who am I?
I’m Mark Shea. I’m a writer (mostly) I write books. I write magazine articles. I write blogs like this one and my former blog Catholic and Enjoying It. I write Tweets. I write stuff on Facebook.
I write a lot of stuff. It’s what I do.
I also speak sometimes. If you want me to come do that for you, you can find out what I talk about here.
What I talk about is life, the universe, and everything from a Catholic perspective.

Dear Mark, here is a comment I tried to post, but I did not find out how to log-in in wordpress. Years ago, I had tried to use it to set up a blog for myself, but I cannot remember the user name I had used then, and even less the password. The problem is aggravated because I just got a new computer yesterday and I am still fighting with it! and with the old keyboard that seems to have joined the fight… Marthe Lepine
I wonder if my memory is correct, but it seems to me that Pope Francis said, maybe during his visit to the US, that extreme inequality was dangerous and could turn into very serious social unrest. Maybe this is what we are seeing right now in your country. The killing of yet one more African American was just the match that ignited all the anger about injustices, the old and the ones recently invented by Trump. For an interesting summary, from that angle, I would suggest a very new post on Steel Magnificat. Sorry I cannot find how to insert the link – I got a new computer yesterday and I am fighting to understand how the keyboard works (it is the same old keyboard but everything seems to have changed!)
