August 13 is here at last! The wondrous day foretold by the false prophet Mike Lindell, when Donald Trump will absolutely, certainly, and without the slightest doubt not be reinstated as President!
There shall, despite all the lies and delusions of the Cult, certainly not be an electrifying moment when all the hopes and dreams of Trump’s True Believers will be fulfilled. At no point during this day will anything change in the election hopes and dreams of the most misguided political cult since the myth of Nero Redivivus swept the Roman Empire and suckers convinced themselves that he would somehow return from the grave.
Nothing will happen except that Joe Biden will go on being President, Mike Lindell will go on being a false prophet and the Cult will go on trying to square the circle of their antichrist cult with anything remotely Christian. Oh, and the Cult, who are absolute Masters of the Self-Own, will spend the day searching for their Orange Messiah’s return on–I kid you not–National Kool-Aid Day, which is also Friday the 13th, because Psalm 2:1-4 is, after all, inspired Scripture.
Lindell, an alleged Bible-believing Christian who has spent months telling documentable falsehoods, urges Americans to read their Bibles. His cult all fancy themselves devotees of the word.
Okey doke. Here is the word:
But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’—when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you need not be afraid of him. (Dt 18:20–22).
Funnily enough, the same people who are most passionate about Trump tend to be the people most passionate about making war on the Church’s teaching concerning the death penalty. They just love killing people, which is one of the many reasons they love Trump’s orgy of killing death row prisoners before he left office. The death penalty affords the sadists in the MAGA the exquisite pleasure of putting people to death while simultaneously posing in the mirror as paladins of Righteousness. And they are always ready to point to Select Bible Passages to justify their bloodlust.
But they seldom like to consider Deuteronomy’s command to kill false prophet, particularly when they are the false prophets. And so we may be sure that those in the Cult who volunteer either themselves or Mike Lindell for public execution will be rarer than hen’s teeth. “The law is the law” for desperate people at the border, not for lying white supremacists. Fighting the Church to kill people is something white conservative Christians like to do when it’s the poor and the brown who are slated for the noose, the firing squad, the needle or the chair. When the Bible indicts them, they always have an excuse.
(By the way, one of the many dumb excuses offered by the Death Penalty crowd is that inspired Scripture says that the thieves crucified with Jesus “received the just penalty” for their sins. What they never mention is that inspired Scripture is quoting one of the thieves, not God. And that thief is blessed by Jesus, not for his views on the death penalty, but for his faith in Jesus. More than this, what the bloodthirsty never clearly articulate is that the implication of their view is that crucifixion should therefore be reinstituted as a form of capital punishment since it is, according to their logic, a “just penalty”. Given that crucifixion was outlawed by the Roman Empire under Constantine since the Christianizing conscience of Rome simply could not endure to inflict against human beings the horror it had inflicted on the Son of God, it is a signal achievement of the antichrist MAGA cult that in its pagan lust for blood, it is willing to make arguments that essentially call for America to resume a form of murder by torture that even fourth century Romans–no strangers to cruelty–could no longer bear to countenance.
Which reminds me. Jesus remarks:
When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest, but he finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and brings with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. So shall it be also with this evil generation. (Mt 12:43–45).
The sheer depravity of the post-Christian antichrist cult that has given itself over to the lying worship of Donald Trump will, if that cult does not repent, end in self-inflicted disaster and in its continued transformation into a depraved form of paganism that would horrify even an ancient Roman. I pray they repent before it is too late for them.
