One thing I have recently noticed with MAGA racists is that when you talk about the fact that our prison system here in the Land of the Free is the largest in the history of Planet Earth and is overwhelmingly skewed toward jailing brown people, they will, again and again, suddenly try to derail the conversation to say, “You know, Asians are very good at math. That’s genetic!” or “It’s a genetic fact that Jews have above average intelligence. As a white person, I don’t think it’s racist to note that!” (Such a conversation happened in the comboxes of this here blog a few months back.)
Um, dude. I wasn’t talking about Asian math scores or Jewish IQ tests. But thanks for your weird passive-aggressive way of saying, “As a matter of fact, I do think brown people are genetically inferior and need to be imprisoned to purify America’s racial hygiene.”
It’s amazing how oblique and circuitous white supremacist MAGA cultists have to be to get their coded messages out to the rest of the Cult. They long for the day when they no longer have to speak in code. That’s why they applaud Trump’s “bravery” when he calls their intended victims “vermin” and “animals”. Grave sin always poses in the mirror as “courage” for its own admiration.

Curious why Asian engineers have some causal effect to the large number of Black and Brown people who are incarcerated. Oh, and maybe those smart Jews are somehow to blame. The absurd logic is breathtaking.
I’ve heard that IQ tests are skewed toward the the people that make the tests.
I just realized I was about to try to derail the conversation by pointing out that Asians are underrepresented in the American penal/prison system, but that’s obviously not the point.
It’s true that black people are overrepresented in the system and it’s unfortunately due to the fact that they’re overrepresented among impoverished societies. And the impoverished are the easy target. You emphasize fighting crime that’s viewed as a nuisance and you’ll find a lot of allies, including in black communities. The problem is that you’re not solving problems, you’re just picking low-hanging fruit and keeping crime at some level acceptable to most constituents. Solving the problem would require working with all dysfunctional communities and fighting poverty that leads to crime, and being undeterred by early failures until the system starts working well.
At a risk of a Godwin, I came across a video which used the footage of Hitler’s speeches and with use of AI tools, it was colorized and lip synced with an English translation, maintaining the same tone and vigor.
I never gave much thought to the *content* of the speeches and literally no documentary that showed them ever did — they all presented Hitler like a deranged person, showing the most dramatic poses, and giving the impression that it’s some crazed lunatic calling for the extermination of Jews, or for invasion of Poland.
Not so. One excerpt with captions (I can’t play audio right now) that I found with a quick search:
“(…) that I have worked, that I have advocated for you in these years. I have spent my time in service of my people. Now cast your vote. If yes, then stand up for me, as I have stood up for you.”
The speeches are virtually *identical* to rallies of modern politicians and very scarily resemble the speeches of many populist politicians.
