…the man sworn in yesterday as Technically-Not-Rapist-in-Chief was confronted by one of victims. who sought $10 million from him. The jury awarded her eight times as much.
We all remember it, of course, because hard-hitting and deeeeeply Catholic journalists Raymond Arroyo and his owner Laura Ingraham were on the case, confronting this flagrant betrayal of the public trust:

Later., after Trump defamed his victim again, she won another $5 million from him. Rapepublican cultists delved into their piggy banks to help him cover his bills. Good “pro-life” misogynists paused from telling us that we “must focus on abortion and not get distracted by lesser issues” to, as ever, focus on what the Rapepublican Party told them to focus on, which was taking up the cause of defaming his victim since he dared not do it any more.
Their beloved lie in that campaign of defamation was to claim that because Trump lost a civil suit and was not criminally convicted of rape, he is technically not a rapist.
They are, like their orange antichrist messiah, technicsally not telling lies:

Why would the “pro-life” MAGA cult that used to talk about the “sanctity and dignity of every human life” spend a year defaming technically-not-a-rape-victim and then anoint her Technically-Not-rapist as Tyrant-in-Chief, gloating that he is untouchable by the law for nearly all his crimes (just as they defended him nearly a decade ago when he bragged about being a sex predator and grabbing ’em by the pussy)?
Easy. Because they want to be him: able to technically-not-rape, sexually assault, thieve and lie with impunity. For them, law (including, blasphemously, the law of God) exists not to do justice but to bind their victims and protect themselves, never to bind themselves and protect their victims. It is a tool of raw, nihilist power.
Trump understood this about his Cult. He always has. He has convinced the sheep that they are his fellow alpha wolves. That’s why he constantly told them, “If they can punish me for rape, they can punish you!”
Personally. Normals are glad that sex predators anbd technically-not-rapists get punished. Those who felt threatened by Trump being punished for technically-not-rape did so for one reason only. And in doing so they demonstrate for the umpteenth time that the defining psychological characteristic of conservatives in the Age of MAGA is a capacity for pity that extends solely to the self and those rare people who extensions of one’s ego, coupled with a complete disregard for all other human suffering as non-existent, contemptible, funny, and/or guilt manipulation.
This is the pack of predators that will be ruling us for the foreseeable future.
Resist!

Trump is essentially what King David would have become if he did not acknowledge his sin. And it can’t be argued that Trump is blind to his sins. There are plenty of Nathans admonishing him for what he did and still does. The problem is that Trump would rather listen to his flatterers and send out messengers to invite people to participate in his sins.
I am waiting for him to walk across the Potomac. His sycophants seem to think that he is divine.
The jury said Trump sexual assaulted her and specifically found he didn’t rape her
Listen to yourself, passionately defending a sex predator with technicalities that would make Bill Clinton blush with shame. What the hell is wrong with you?
According to that one particular jurisdiction. What he was found liable for is rape according to several common definitions as well as the legal definitions of some other jurisdictions. The jury did not find that he “didn’t rape her,” only that he didn’t meet one specific legal definition of rape.
To say that makes him not a rapist is like saying that molten rock underground is not lava: It has a different name depending on where it is, but it’s the same thing.
Mark,
It appears that Trump broke you somehow. I pray you can eventually move on from him.
You passively defend grave evil by trying to smother its critics in gooey piety. You are a pious servant of predators and an accomplice to evil people who prey on the least of these. Repent.
Not really possible to “move on” when the modern reincarnation of Herod Antipas commands the FBI, the CIA and a nuclear arsenal, for the next four years at least.
“Move on” makes it sound like a perfectly rational wariness is a psychological tic. Like, oh, I dunno, say, demanding “the real truth” about the JFK assassination after 62 years, something obsessively nutty like that.
Well the thing is, we tried to move on. We as a country tried to move on in 2020 and he did an insurrection about it. And people warned that every failed coup is a practice run for the next attempt, but nobody with the power to do anything about it bothered to. So now he’s back running the country, one of the most powerful countries on earth with massive influence over basically every other country, so it’s not really physically possible to move on from him anymore.
I pray it becomes possible to eventually move on from him, but he’s already won one presidential election that he was not eligible for (on account of the whole insurrection thing), so we can’t really bank anyone making him respect term limits in 2028.
*bank on
A lot of countries limit the president’s office to two consecutive terms. Since it’s so widespread, the (incorrect) popular opinion is that the 22nd amendment also limits consecutive terms.
If Trump attempts to run for a third term, it’s very likely that few of his supporters aware of the actual limit will choose to uphold the constitution. Those who supported the insurrection definitely won’t.
Start planning right now. General strike across the US (and other countries) if Trump is not out of the White House on 21 January 2029. Planes don’t fly, trucks don’t ship anything, mysterious accidents with factory machine start accumulating.
