Since the MAGA Antichrist Cult are celebrating the installation of their technically-not-a-rapist sex predator, felon, fraud, liar, and violent traitor as Tyrant-in-Chief this week, it seemed good to have a priest on hand rebut this perennial God-damned lie they tell to gaslight Normals:

I’ve seen this circulating around. It’s seriously misleading. While it is true that God always brings good out of evil, it does not mean that God approves of or encourages evil so that he might bring good out of it. Also, God always holds the evil doer accountable for their sins and crimes. What this meme fails to mention is that David was punished for the terrible sins he committed. Only a portion of the kingdom of Israel remained with David’s line and the son he conceived in adultery with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, died. Not only that, David fully confessed his sins and humbly accepted the punishment given to him. Furthermore, David’s sinful actions had repercussions, not only for his own family, but for the nation of Israel. His sons were influenced by his bad behavior, which eventually leads to the division of the nation of Israel. Finally, while many psalms are attributed to David, it does not mean that he actually wrote them. Many writings are attributed to prominent figures throughout the Old Testament. It does not mean that those attributions are accurate. Some of the psalms may have been written by David but we don’t know exactly which or how many. But he certainly did not write them all. I think memes like this are misleading and unhelpful overall. They only serve the purpose of confirmation bias.

In the MAGA cult of double standards where law exists solely to bind their victims and protect themselves and never to protect their victims and bind themselves, Trump’s impenitent grave sins are all somehow marks that he is The Chosen One and rejecting them makes you Judgmental. Meanwhile, the sins of all their enemies and victims are irredeemable and a vote for one of them makes you guilty of a sin God will never forgive and will judge all of America for, forever.

They lie. They do nothing but lie. Do not fall for this gaslighting nonsense. It is not “judgmental” to evalulate an impenitent grave sin by his fruits. It is what Jesus commands us to do:

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. ¶ You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will know them by their fruits. (Mt 7:15–20)

Charity does not require us to call good evil and evil good.
