The “Prolife” MAGA Ouroboros Begins to Eat Its Tail

The “Prolife” Movement (with honorable exception of the people who live the Church’s Consistent Life Ethic) is now the most spiritually and physically deadly heresy in the world, particularly since selling its soul to the MAGA antichrist cult. And, as heresies tend to do, it is now rapidly mutating into its Shadow Self and become a cult that savors death and cruelty.

To illustrate, over on the Book of Face, a “prolife” MAGA Catholic with lots of pious art on his wall tried to defend the indefensible by claiming rights to due process only apply to citizens. Confronted with the fact that the Constitution in fact guarantees that right to “persons”, not just citizens, he then sarcastically responds, “So what do you suggest should be done with these ‘persons’?”

I responded: Note how you give away your whole lie about about being “Prolife” by rejecting the personhood of innocent people you want to torture and kill in an El Salvadoran concentration camp.

Yes. Concentration camp:

You, who have doubtless talked endlessly about the personhood of the unborn child for years (despite the fact that the Constitution is silent on the question) lie that you believe in the sanctity of human life for the unborn while laboring to deny personhood to those the Constitution specifically does name. That’s not because you care about the unborn, but because they make good human shields for your malice, cruelty and contempt for the lives of people you want to deprive of all human rights, including the right to due process. A consistent life ethic insists not only on the sanctity and dignity of human life for the unborn, but for all those your evil hypocritical cult denies such sanctity and dignity.

That’s why the filthy lie, “But the unborn are innocent and these guys are criminals” is bullshit. You have no idea if these innocent people (“innocent till proven guilty” is the law) are guilty of anything. 2/3 of them have never been found guilty of anything and none of them were given due process to find out if they should go to prison, much less a concentration camp. But they are brown and speak Spanish, so you are eager to unperson them and send them to hell forever–even those the criminal regime you defend admits were kidnapped in “error”. You are crucifying Christ again, sentencing the innocent to the cross despite the fact that Pilate himself admits he has found no fault with his victims. All the pious art on your FB wall and all the Precious Feet pins you ever rub will not save you from the hell you wish for others. Only repentance and a firm purpose of amendment will do that through Christ our Lord. Repent and stop defending this mortal sin.

Here’s fact: human rights do not come from the Constitution or from the generosity of the State. They come from the hand of God and flow from the fact that we are made in the image and likeness of God. We have human rights because of what we are, not because of what we do or don’t do. The Constitution does not create human rights: it recognizes them and pledges Caesar’s cooperation with God to ensure them. When the state denies human rights they do not cease to exist. Rather, the legitimacy of the state ceases to exist to the degree that it fails to protect what God has established. If the state fails too egregiously to protect those rights, then it is the right of citizens to change or even overthrow the state and establish something better. Caesar is, at best, God’s very flawed servant, not his equal or, God forbid, his Master.

Your choice to elevate a dimestore antichrist over God does not, in the slightest affect God. Rather, it places you and the criminal you worship in jeopardy of your souls.

Repent!

  1. To a degree, I can understand (but not agree with), the mindset that regarded Trump as the classic “lesser of two evils.” That said, the adoration of Trump, the elevation of him to some junior varsity messiah is beyond me. I recall interviews with MAGA types who prattled about him being “God’s anointed.” The MAGA “Christians” have made a deal with the devil. That never ends well.

    1. Catholic moral teaching gives no license for supporting the lesser of two evils. It calls us, rather, to *lessen* evil. By every measure, Harris would have don’t that (including lowering the abortion rate). The Cult celebrates and savors evil and cruelty, because it is full of fearful cowards who only feel like men when they can hurt people weaker than themselves. Trump was never the lesser evil.

      1. Of course, Trump is hardly the lesser of two evils. It curious how MAGA has become cult. Why? People like being told what to think. Thinking is difficult and scary. Thus, the weird, cult like behavior of MAGA.

      2. Maybe this is just a semantic nitpick, but: While you’re obviously right about formal support for evil, I think you’d be hard-pressed to say that material cooperation with the lesser evil, for the sake of preventing a proportionately greater evil, isn’t still materially “supporting” that lesser evil.

I mean, if you put a less-evil person in charge of the government, what you’re formally supporting is the lessening of evil compared to the other lizard, but materially, you are giving them the power to do all the evil you know very well they intend to do. It may be (and in the case of our last presidential election, quite obviously was) the right thing to do, but let’s be honest that the unwilled but clearly foreseen and accepted side-effect was supporting the lesser evil.

    1. I find that “Repent your Church-hating, antichrist, MAGA ‘prolife’ heresy and believe the gospel and its consistent life ethic” is often an effective attention-getter.

  2. My almost 90 y.o. Mom literally believes she is helping to sustain Trump with her rosaries. She just told me she had to see a doctor because she worries so much for him that it causes her physical pain.

    I am not. kidding.

When she told me that, I said, “oh, I’m so sorry.”

I just hug her and tell her I love her. She’s not a big hugger.

    1. No prayer goes unheard and no prayer is just granted: “we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words”
And perhaps it’s the prayers of people like your Mom that there is any hope for Trump to finally repent.

      1. Oh man, thank you for reminding me of that.

Our family is divided right down the middle. At least nobody talked politics at the Easter table. My cousin, whose son works for Bernie Sanders gracefully walked past the framed image of Trump and Melania. If she sighed I didn’t hear it.

At brunch that morning, my sister-in-law, who worked for Trump, in the White House, didn’t say a word about him.

Thanks be to God for peace in the midst of the Great American class war.
