Just a reminder for MAGA Catholics who like to cosplay as martyrs because harried Target clerks say “Happy Holidays” to you and coffee cups are not to your liking and sometimes the liturgy committee uses banners in the sanctuary.
Out in the real world, your orange messiah has just put a target on the backs of every Catholic who takes the Church’s teaching seriously.
You know, the real Church’s teaching. The pre-Vatican II Church you pine for. Because Americanism was declared a heresy by Pope Leo XIII over a century ago. And the Church has expressed its deep skepticism about capitalism since he wrote Rerum Novarum. And the KKK your orange messiah calls “very fine people” (along with a host of his Fundamentalist orcs) have declared you to be anti-Christian since the Reformation. And you would know that if you ever cracked a book instead of getting your catechesis from FOX News. So guess what? Now you get to be in the crosshairs and, with luck, you will finally get to enjoy some of that persecution you have always pretended to suffer while you watched EWTN as the couch potato you are.
But then again, you are fine with being the biggest persecutors of Catholics on our soil already, given what you are doing to all the Catholics who are brown. You are fine with Trump’s Gestapo invading Mass to arrest brother and sister Catholics. So get ready for when the Id Monster you have released comes for you, cuz, boy, did you ask for it!

Why delight in and hope for others suffering Mark? Even if brought on by their own actions. This post is sad.
Spare me. It’s not about delighting in suffering. It’s about trying to get the biggest pack of self-pitying bullies on earth to look at the monster they have created–because they are monsters–and to repent.
