Trembling Snowflake Dweebs for War on the Lebensunwertes Leben

“I live in the Managerial Age, in a world of ‘Admin.’ The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid ‘dens of crime’ that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern.” – C.S. Lewis on how Hell is best portrayed in the current age

  1. I’ve found most wisdom in life can be gleaned from Game of Thrones.

    To paraphrase Tywin Lannister:

“A man who has to say he’s an alpha is no true alpha”

If they’re ever in prison these guys would be known as “Sally” among the population there.

  2. Nazis were not just jackbooted thugs. They were also bloodless bureaucrats, sitting in offices, pushing paper. See Adolf Eichmann. Yes, if these punks end up in jail, they will be somebody’s bit*h.

  3. Do not crave this kind of “justice”, @Will, @Kenofken. Punishment beyond that which is ordered by court is not right.

We moved away from cruel and unusual punishment not because it was ineffective, but because it served no purpose beyond appeasing the crowd’s bloodlust and channeling their hatred away from the system — after all, if the perpetrator was was so visibly and so finally punished, then justice was served and the system worked, right?
It didn’t achieve anything except degrading the punished and denying them their humanity.

Even tarring and feathering at its core had a very somber undertone: We could just as well take you to the block and behead you like we would a chicken.

There is a resurgence of this arbitrary miscarriage of justice and it comes with very strong public approval. Take castration of sexual abusers of minors. The procedure doesn’t achieve anything, but it satiates the public sense of justice because the perpetrator was diminished. They go to prison and they become abused themselves — just peachy! They’ll get a serving of what they did to their victims.

This is the ultimate victory for Satan — strip the person of their dignity, so that they’ll fall into despair and perhaps fall even further.

    Don’t go that way.
