Yesterday, we took a look at a couple of MAGA predators who have now found out the hard way that inflicting agonies on their innocent victims by voting for Trump three times could not save them when the Lidless Eye of the Trumpian state fixed its gaze on them. Like so many in the MAGA fold, they suddenly discovered that Trump welcomed suckers like them to his side, not because they were his awesome fellow alpha wolves, but because he sees dumb sheep like them as something to keep handy if he feels like having a snack. Millions more such suckers still think themselves part of the MAGA Inner Ring when they are really just in the sheep holding pen waiting to be marched into the abattoir.
I have no idea if the MAGA sheep in yesterday’s story have started to get a clue yet. Amazingly, many don’t even when they are looking right into the face of naked betrayal by a man famous for betraying those who trust him:
Some do start to figure things out and even to turn against the MAGA cult. Not all of them are, merely for that reason, to be trusted. Some are simply MAGA predators who have figured out that Trump’s cult is starting to fall apart and are smart enough predators to realize that they have a business opportunity hoovering up disaffected sheep and gaining market dominance as their next messiah. This is very obviously what liars and grifters like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens are doing and only a fool would trust them as they sell disaffected cultists on the lie, “This is not your fault! This is the fault of the Jews! Trust in Me and I will be your true Savior!” It’s a very attractive lie to the Party of Personal Responsibility that is 100% responsible for the catastrophe they have created and 100% committed to scapegoating everybody in the world rather than face their own guilt, but a lie it remains.
But there are such things as real penitents too. Case in point:
Longtime Republicans Ron and Chrissey Kelley didn’t just quietly leave the MAGA movement—they are actively trying to help others exit, too. After a 43-day furlough caused by Elon Musk’s DOGE initiative threatened their livelihood, the Georgia couple woke up to what they call “lie after lie.”
It will be noted that these people, like so many ex-MAGA (including yesterday’s couple) only turned on Trump when his cruelties affected them and, as the saying goes, the leopards started eating their faces. Consequently, the response from many in the Resistance is, “Screw ’em.”
On the other hand, Jesus tells us there is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 who have no need to repent. So what exactly are we supposed to do when faced with a movement, full of selfish jerks who only seem to get a clue when it’s their ass on the line?

It’s amazing how many MAGA people seem to worship Trump in spite of him doing nothing economically for them. The tax cuts in the “Big Beautiful Bill” mainly benefited the very rich.
Indeed, many MAGA people lost their Medicaid. So for many of them, Trump has been a net negative.
They get thrown a few culture war bones. Immigrants got rounded up, which will increase the price of food and other goods, but not really help the white working class. Oh, and Trump beats up transgenders which puts no money in the pockets of MAGA. It’s a curious phenomena.
